A couple months ago I applied for a scholarship to attend Kevin Kubota’s Digital Photography Bootcamp. This week long class is the most comprehensive training for a digital photographer. Sadly, I didn’t win it. I was super bummed because I had heard so many great things about it and of wonderful success stories from previous bootcampers who had put into action the things they had learned. One week before Bootcamp started I received an mass email stating that since so many people had applied for the scholarship they were offering the first person who responded to the email 1/2 off the cost to go. Enter: push notifications for iPhone! I replied immediately and got it! Ben and I are so thankful that we were given the opportunity to come! We are just over half way into the week and it’s been business changing for us. Little light bulbs clicking on, and lots of “oh….nice!” going on. We have had a couple photo shoots over the past week. With each shoot we learned new poses, lighting techniques, and how to talk with our couples from family portraits to wedding photography. Here are some photos from those shoots.
Isn’t he so cute!
As Bootcampers we get to test out the new Lensbaby gear! The creator of the Lensbaby has been here all week to answer questions and get feedback on his latest. This is the new fisheye lens.
