We met Keyelle and her mom at the Best Western in Ephrata for her senior portrait session. We were so honored that they wanted to come all the way to Ephrata (from Western Washington) just to get her senior pictures taken by us! They started talking about all the different photos they had seen of ours that they liked and one image stood out in their minds. “There was this really old church. Like in the middle of nowhere…” Ben and I were a little confused and I was honestly hoping they weren’t thinking of another photographer’s photo! “…it was a couple…maybe a cowboy hat…”. Lightbulb. They were talking about Oasis Park and the e-session we had done there a couple months ago.It wasn’t even a mile down the road from where we were. I laughed at the thought of it “being in the middle of nowhere”. Looks can deceiving at times and this is one of those places. It is a cute little church, but directly in front of this church is a basketball court and a playground. I love the bit of green grass that this little park brings to our usual rolling sagebrush. More on Keyelle later. But for now I had to post a picture of that little white church for her friends to see that she made it to the middle of nowhere 🙂
