Kellan and Kayli met at work. It’s always nice to have a great reason to go to work 🙂 Kayli ended up going to Dubai for a year to nanny. While she was there Kellan came over to visit her and surprised her by proposing. They went ring shopping in Dubai and now have a permanent token of their solid love for each other, even thousands of miles apart. We met up with Kellan and Kayli for their engagement session at Caffe Mela in downtown Wenatchee. Kayli has spent many hours hanging out there over the years and it was only fitting to start with pictures there. I am a lover of coffee, so I was happy with that! It started to rain towards the end, but we were having too much fun together so we took photos until it was too dark to take anymore. Thank you Kellan and Kayli for the fun night and are looking forward to your December wedding!

This train was just hanging out on the tracks by the Applewood Grill. So we hopped on! It’s not normal for train cars to be sitting there like that. There is just something that I love about photographing a couple walking down the street. It is important for me to capture images that are very “them”. Whoever my clients are. I want their friends to say “Oh, that is so you!” When they see the pictures. That makes an image more timeless than anything. So I ask them “When you walk together, how do you walk? Then do that”. We all want to remember those little moments and most of the time we don’t have 1) a camera in our pocket 2) a person to take it. I hope that is what I capture. The looks, smiles, holding hands, a small squeeze as they walk to their favorite coffee shop…
